Pakistani Students Shine at Annual Silk Road & Young Dreams Awards in Beijing

Pakistani students gained huge success at the 3rd annual Silk Road and Young Dreams Awards as they receive prizes in the category of photography, music, singing, speech and sand painting competition.

The ceremony was attended by the participants who came from 30 different countries and the event was hosted by Silk Road Cities Alliance, China Friendship Foundation for Peace and Development, Beijing Belt and Road Cooperative Community, and Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies of Renmin University.

The awarding ceremony of the third Silk Road and Young Dreams exchange contest was held on Saturday in Beijing, with more than 700 young people from different countries for building a community of human health.

In the event, the competitors from Pakistan Embassy College Beijing (PECB) received a few positions in different segments.

The most popular award in the photography category of Silk Road and Young Dreams Awards was bagged by Maaz Ali Nadeem. Danish Yaqoob, a Pakistani student won the first prize in the speech competition, while a student of PECB Abdul Rehman grabbed the third spot in the same category.

Thembekile and Areeba Ali, students from PECB sealed the excellence of music and speech contest prizes.

In addition to the story, students from PECB were among the group who read the Health Declaration on the platform.

The 3rd Annual Silk Road and Young Dreams Award were held online this year amid coronavirus pandemic with a theme of ‘Health-amidst this pandemic.’

The contestants took part eagerly in the annual contest and spread colors with their well thought opinions and presentation in all the categories.

Pakistan Embassy Beijing’s Deputy Head of Mission, Ahmed Farooq attended the event and took part while distributing prizes among the winner.
