In a move to acknowledge Pakistan’s successful policies against Covid19, World Economic Forum (WEF) has organized a Country Strategy Dialogue (CSD) on Pakistan today.

Prime Minister Imran Khan and several ministers are interacting with global business leaders and heads of multinational companies at a Country Strategy Dialogue (CSD) on Pakistan held by the World Economic Forum.

This is the great recognition of Pakistan’s effective steps towards the economic reforms and also its measures taken to control Covid pandemic that CSD by World Economic Forum is going to be held on Pakistan today.

In the forum, Prime Minister Imran Khan and many other ministers will interact with world-leading business leaders including the heads of multinational companies. CSD is the World Economic Forum’s platform for countries with rising economies and promising growth potential.

According to the statement of the foreign office, Prime Minister Imran Khan will inaugurate the session and will have dialogues with the President of WEF, Borge Brende and Chief Executive Officers of leading global corporations and WEF partner companies.

Later, the global business leaders will have the talks with an advisor to the Prime minister on Finance, Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Minister for economic affairs, Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar, and Minister for industry and production, Hammad Azhar on a number of subjects, including economy, finance, investment, trade, manufacturing, digitalization and startups, regional connectivity, China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, etc.

The last session of CSD will be the roundtable on Energy Transition Priorities and Challenges in Pakistan, Co-led by Energy minister Umar Ayub Khan, the Special Assistant to the Prime minister on Climate Change, Malik Amin Aslam, and Special Assistant to Prime minister on Petroleum, Nadeem Babar.

Along with a lot of other benefits of this precious session, it will provide an opportunity for the CEOs of leading global corporations to have direct interaction with the top leadership of Pakistan. They will be in a position to discuss the vast business and investment opportunities, available in-country due to various initiatives for economic reforms by the current government.

Senator Faisal Javed Khan said on this occasion “This is yet another endorsement of Pakistan’s brilliant strategy of handling both Corona and Economy.” Pakistan’s strategy and success will be showcased as a case to the world. He added that other international forums had also stressed upon the fact that the world must learn from Pakistan.
