Pakistan registers its most expensive vehicle against Rs 5.3 million tax in Lahore

With a stunning price tag of Rs 138 million, the Punjab excise and taxes department has registered the province’s most expensive vehicle in its history.

The Citi Housing Scheme has requested for the Mercedes Benz to be registered.

The Mercedes AMG G63 4.0-liter V-8 SUV costs Rs 13 crores and 19 lacs, making it the province’s most expensive registered vehicle. The highly costly ride’s registration number is AEG-063.

The registration fee is broken down as follows:

  • The registration fee — Rs 5,093,600
  • Cost of the number plate — Rs 12,000
  • Withholding Tax — Rs 62,500

The most expensive Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) to get registered in Pakistan is equipped with a 4,000-cc dual-turbo V8 engine, a custom-designed cabin, and space for up to five people. The German automaker’s powerhouse can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in in 4.5 seconds.

It has a 9-speed transmission, which distinguishes it from other vehicles in the same class.

The Lamborghini Huracan Spyder previously held the title of most costly vehicle in the country’s most populous province. The sports car cost roughly Rs 4.5 million, while the car cost was Rs 11 crores.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Punjab Excise Department has improved its mechanism for registering high-value vehicles.
