Pakistan launches ‘Pass Track App’ to register incoming passengers

The government has introduced “Pass Track App” mobile application in order to maintain the data of passengers traveling to Pakistan and also to track them.

According to a notification, the country’s Civil Aviation Authority has introduced a new measure under which it will be mandatory for all passengers travelling to Pakistan to submit complete requisite information through the ‘Pass Track App’.

“In order to curb the spread of Covid-19, streamline data submission and tracking of passengers travelling to Pakistan, the Government of Pakistan has introduced a new measure whereby it will be mandatory for all passengers to submit their requisite information/data through Pass Track App. Effective from May 1, 2021, this will be a mandatory requirement and no exception in this regard shall be allowed,” the High Commission said.

In addition, it is the main responsibility of the airline operators to ensure that all passengers travelling to Pakistan have submitted complete information through the “Pass Track App” prior to commencement of travel to Pakistan.

Any or all cases of non-compliance will be dealt strictly in accordance with applicable rules and regulations. Furthermore, the requirement of submission of the Health Declaration Form will cease from 1st May upon coming into effect of the mandatory requirement of submission of information/data through the mobile app.

However, last week, in line with the directions of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority formed a task force to strictly enforce the coronavirus-related standard operating procedure (SOPs) at the airports.
