Pakistan launches CPEC internship programme to empower youth

Special Assistant to Prime Minister for information and Chairman CPEC Authority Lt Gen (r) Asim Saleem Bajwa announced the launch of a three-month CPEC internship programme for youth.

He said this is the occasion of very high pleasure that this is the national project and will cause the augmentation of productivity. Human welfare and development is our priority. 60 percent of youth of the country are herald to national development. In a tweet, he said that human and social development is the focus of the government.

Three months internship programme has been offered, it is planned that 60 percent of youth should lead the programme of national development. In this internship programme, all Pakistanis can apply. According to the information available about the CPEC internship programme on the official website of the CPEC Authority, everyone is eligible under 30 years of age with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

The program features include employment of 100 interns. Each intern will get monthly stipend after their allocation to specific industries and sectors and the development of leadership and management skills.
Process of the internship will be in two stages, at the first stage, the candidate will be shortlisted on the basis of CV and on the second stage, the shortlisted candidate will have to submit a written or video essay comprising 500 to 650 words.

These three months of the internship programme will start in October.
The basic education for eligibility is a bachelor’s degree in any discipline. No experience is required but the eligible candidate should be highly motivated and curious. Moreover, they should have an aptitude for good research, writing, and digital media skills.
