As per Spotify, homegrown listeners generated 1.9 million user-created playlists on the streaming platform. Nostalgia was the listened theme on Spotify in 2021, with three nostalgic playlists coming up in the top 10 list: “All-Time Pakistani Hits”, “All Out 2010s” and “Pakistani 10s Hits”.
Fascinatingly, February 5, 2022 was the most musical day in Pakistan in anticipation of Coke Studio’s specialized hit ‘Pasoori’ by Ali Sethi and Shae Gill.
