The leading role of Dirilis Ertugrul, Engin was expected to visit Pakistan in October but he landed in the country in December. This news has brought huge happiness for his Pakistan fans who waited for a long to meet him.

Engin Altan Duzyatan’s popularity skyrocketed in Pakistan after drama series Dirilis: Ertugrul started airing in Urdu. This drama series has made the world record of most liked and most watched series as it has been entered into the Guinness World record.

According to Google’s latest report, the Turkish drama caught viewers’ attention more than second-ranked Pakistani drama Meray Paas Tum Ho.

Ever since its broadcast, the series ruled the social media platforms in Pakistan including YouTube and online streaming platform, Netflix.

PTV had aired the series on the special recommendation of Prime Minister Imran Khan, as a part of his vision on social reforms.

“I warned against copying the west and Bollywood alike but people said this is what the public wants to watch. Ertugrul is also one of the most widely watched series, it doesn’t have any obscenity,” Khan said earlier in October.
