She says, instead of being fond of traveling in airplanes, she used to think about how these planes move in the air. She applied for the license and it took her six years to get the license.

Making the career of Aerospace engineer, Arooba Faridi had to face financial constraints because her father was an employee of Pakistan Steel Mills, the salaries of which were not released for a long time and that was the time when she thought that her dream of becoming the Aero Space engineer might not come true but her father supported her a lot so she continued working hard. For the payment of examination fees which was extremely high, she started a job, and then she was able to pay the fees.

Along with facing financial hardships, Arooba also faced the man-dominant- society’s remarks that how a girl could become an aerospace engineer. She refuted all such remarks as she is of the firm belief that there is no field in the world where girls cannot work. Her duties include checking the fuel, oil, and all equipment of planes before taking off.

Arooba Faridi further says that the vehicle on the road can be repaired but this is a must to check the airplanes from all aspects before they leave the land as there is no option of repair if any fault appears during the flight. She is desirous to be a part of any national airline so as to prove her capabilities.

She also says that she is working as an aerospace engineer in a national airline, would be a motivating factor to the Pakistani girls. She advised the Pakistani women to get rid of the fear of working with men even from childhood. She said that the aptitude of refraining the female from progressing is nothing but a disease.
