Shopping Malls to remain open 7 days a week in Punjab and Sindh

On the directions of Chief Minister of Punjab, Usman Buzdar, a meeting of cabinet committee for the control of coronavirus, held in the Chief Minister house where it has been decided to give the permission of opening the shopping malls and plazas for 7 days a week. 

However the timings would be from 9 am to 5 pm. The observance of SOPs will be a must. Food courts, stalls, restaurants, and play areas will remain closed. The restaurant will open after the Eid holidays.

It was decided in the meeting that policemen will be given special allowance if they fall victim to coronavirus whereas the families of martyr policemen of the coronavirus will be given the Shuhada package. Observance of using masks in the crowded area will a must.

The decision of payment of advance salary to the doctors and health professionals was also made. The government of Punjab issued different SOPs for garments shops, beauty salons, vendors, hawkers, etc.

Try rooms of garment shops in shopping malls will remain closed. All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajran, All Karachi Tajir Ittehad, Trader Action Committee, and Islamabad have demanded to permit the opening of markets up to 1’o clock at night.
