PTI constructed 2000 km road projects across Pakistan

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has completed work on 2000 kilometers road projects, also started work on additional 6118 km of roads network.

On Monday, Minister for Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed said that present government has constructed 2000 km road across Pakistan.

In a tweet, he said that construction work on 2032 km roads were completed, 1667 km roads under construction whereas 1819 km at procurement stage.

He took on twitter and that the government has also started work on 3300 km road projects in Balochistan.

He added that the road projects started in Balochistan were including Zhob Kuchlak, Nokandi Mashkeel, Khuzdar Bisimah, Ziarat Morr Kuch Harnai, Hoshab Awaran, Dera Murad Jamali Bypass, Quetta Bypass and Kuchlak Khuzdar.

One of the shining symbols of the bilateral cooperation of Pakistan and China is the Peshawar-Karachi Motorway (PKM). It has helped improve the traffic efficiency and overall traffic conditions in Pakistan.

Moreover, as the largest transport infrastructure project undertaken to date in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the 392-kilometer-long project was completed by China Construction in 2019. This year the project won China’s National Quality Golden Engineering Award, CGTN reported on Tuesday.

China–Pakistan Economic Corridor is a collection of infrastructure projects that are under construction through out Pakistan beginning in 2013. Originally valued at $47 billion, the value of CPEC projects is worth $62 billion as of 2020. It is also one of the key witnesses of China-Pakistan bilateral relations, carrying 70 years of engagements to the next level.
