Pakistan Pavilion at Dubai Expo welcomes record 550,000 visitors in 82 days

Almost 550,000 people visited the Pakis­tan Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai in the United Arab Emirates in just 82 days since its inaugural.

According to the announcement, it was revealed that the pavilion has received visits not only from the Pakistani community but also many United Arab Emirates residents and foreign nationals have visited it.

Since its inaugural, the Pakistan Pavilion has retained the impetus at the Expo 2020 in being an enlightening, engaging, and enjoyable involvement for invitees and has been among the greatest visited pavilions at the expo.

“Located in the heart of Opportunity District, the pav­ilion’s theme aims at informing, inspiring, and igniting more conversations about the country’s ‘Hidden Treasures.’ The pavilion has been attracting thousands of people from various nationalities daily is promoting the country’s tolerant, inclusive and progressive image by featuring the past, present, and future. It also highlights the beautiful landscapes, tourism, and trade & investment opportunities,” it said.

Moreover, Commerce Adviser Razak Dawood told the media that in Dece­mber, the Pakistan Pavilion initiated a new tourism drive from an attractive AI interactive screen for fascinated visitors to attach with tour workers in Pakis­tan to plan their visits to the country. Pakistan has extensive potential for tourism.

Besides, Prime Minister Imran Khan while initiating the Skardu Airport, commented that Pakistan can earn at least $30-40 billion from tourism only in Gilgit-Baltistan.

He believed that under the government’s attention on the expansion of tourism infrastructure in the country and marketing determinations at the Pakistan Pavilion Expo 2020 Dubai, the integer of overseas tourists to Pakistan is likely to rise expressively in the coming years.

The Pakistan pavilion at the Dubai Expo 2020 started on Oct 1 and in just 18 days it attracted more than 100,000 visitors.
