Karachi Traffic Police on Thursday released an alternate-route plan for the citizens of the metropolis ahead of the PSL 2020 Playoffs which will be played at National Stadium Karachi starting from 14th November till 17th November.
As per the issued traffic plan by Karachi Police, the route from Hassan Square towards National Stadium Karachi will be completely closed for travelers.
The traffic will be closed from Dalmia Road linked with Darigh Road and Askari IV at Rashid Minhas Road. Those who use these routes will be redirected to an alternate route that includes Sharah-e-Faisal, Millennium, Nipa to Safora Chawrangi, Gulshan Chawrangi to Sohrab Goth.
Hassan Square fly-over
Those commuters who use fly-over will be closed for the general public from Liaqatabad which will be averted towards University Road. The stream of traffic will be routed in the direction of New Town from Hassan Square bridge. All the traffic coming from NIPA and Liaqatabad are being shifted towards New Town too for the PSL playoffs.
The road linking University Road to New Town juncture in the direction of NSK will be closed for the general public and it is diverted from Jail Chawrangi to Shaheed-e-Millat Road or PP Chawrangi. The residents living in neighboring areas of Liaquat National Hospital and Aga Khan Hospital are recommended to visit the New Town Police Station, where they will be guided by the officials regarding diversion points in the city.
The heavy traffic will be closed to enter into PP Chawarangi to University Road, Karsaz to National Stadium, Millennium to New Town. whereas, it will be diverted from Sohrab Goth to Nipa, Liaquatabad Number 10 and Hassan Square.

No carelessness will be tolerated if anyone distracts from the plan, said Traffic DIG Javed Ali Mahar.
