Kamyab Jawan, PepsiCo to offer Pakistan’s largest internship programme

Prime Minister Kamyab Jawan Programme (KJP) has collaborated with PepsiCo in order to provide opportunities for internships to graduate students. 

The partnership of Kamyab Jawan and PepsiCo will not only provide opportunities for internships to graduate students rather it will enhance their career prospects as they are transitioning to their professional careers. 

According to the news release, as Pakistan is going through the COVID situation, PepsiCo Pakistan has developed a fully virtual and intensive internship program ‘Roshan Kal’ that was successfully delivered to 300 graduates in 2020.  

Now, the program is 100 percent virtual, there is no requirement of internees’ physical presence to PepsiCo offices and thus the internship is open for graduates residing anywhere in Pakistan.  

Kamyab Jawan & PepsiCo join hands to offer 1000 internships for students

In 2021, PepsiCo Pakistan aims to offer 1000 internships, a 35 day virtual internship program to graduates. A stipend of Rs 10,000 will be given to the internees for the duration of the program 

The selection procedure will be carried out through an eligibility criterion and from a diverse set of disciplines including marketing, finance, law, public administration, food technology, engineering and business. The internship will be concluded with a final presentation and an internship completion certificate. 

Furqan Ahmed Syed, CEO PepsiCo Pakistan and Afghanistan, commented: “Creating opportunities for the Pakistani youth is a government priority and part of PepsiCo’s DNA. I believe this synergy between Kamyab Jawan and Roshan Kal has created an opportunity to develop the skills of our youth at an unprecedented scale.” 

However, PepsiCo Roshan Kal is a platform for youth of the country which develops the professional skills of students through internships and skills development programs. So far, it has created over 5300 opportunities for youth through its internship programme and its professional skills development programme, run in collaboration with Amal Academy.
