Honor Watch GS 3

Honor is going to expand its smartwatch lineup with the new GS model. Unlike the GS Pro, which has a rugged design, the Honor Watch GS 3 has a sleek appearance that makes it more ideal for casual wear. The design, on the other hand, has an impact on battery life.

The watch’s body is composed of 316L low-carbon stainless steel, which is 10.5mm thick and weighs 44g, with a diameter of 45.9mm. It has a 3D curved glass and a simple graduated bezel.

The Honor Watch GS 3 comes in three colours: silver, gold, and black, each with its own wrist strap. Nappa leather straps are available in silver and gold, while the black or ‘Racing Pioneer’ has a sturdy rubber strap.

The watch boasts a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with 326 PPI for clear graphics (466 x 466 pixels), which is slightly bigger than the Pro’s 1.39-inch display.

When tracking a user’s heart rate, the Honor Watch GS 3’s 8-channel PPG module aims for a minimum accuracy of 97 percent. The Honor Health 5.0 watch includes 24/7 blood oxygen and sleep tracking, as well as over 200 sleep-improvement tips.

The watch uses dual-frequency positioning with support for five main satellite constellations for outdoor tracking. In comparison to the MagicWatch 2, the wristwatch boasts a 167 percent better positioning accuracy and the first lock is gained in half the time with 100 sports modes and 10 professional sports modes.

The watch is water-resistant to 5 ATMs, making it safe to wear in the pool. An accelerometer, gyro, compass, air pressure, and ambient light sensors are among the other sensors.

The watch guarantees up to 14 days of normal use or 30 hours of constant GPS tracking with average use. The watch is anticipated to last the entire day after only 5 minutes of charging. The 451 mAh battery takes only an hour to fully charge.

The GS Pro, on the other hand, had a 14-day battery life with sophisticated GPS tracking and a battery life of about 48 hours.

A music player with 4 GB of onboard storage, an alarm and timer, a remote camera shutter button, and a feature to deny incoming calls with pre-defined text messages are all pre-installed on the watch.

The watch runs LiteOS on an Apollo4 processor and has NFC as well as a few China-specific features like Alipay and a smart card for public transportation.

In China, the watch can be pre-ordered. The Honor Watch GS 3 Racing Pioneer model costs CNY 1,300 (about $205). The leather strap version of the watch costs CNY 1,500 (about $237).
