‘Happy Birthday PM Imran Khan’: Twitter wishes premier on his 68th birthday

The 68th birthday of Prime Minister Imran Khan was noticed far and wide on Twitter, with his fans, supporters and sports fraternity wishing him wholeheartedly.

Prime Minister Imran Khan turned 68 years old today on 5th October 2020. The legendry all-rounder cricketer now the Prime Minister of a country who was once the hero of whole youth and now a role model for the youth, is soon to become a septuagenarian.

His both supporter base, political and his fans are wishing him on twitter, #HappyBirthdayPMImranKhan is all over the internet and is trending in Pakistan.

His friend Javed Miandad was the first one to wish him. “Happy Birthday Captain | Prime Minister @ImranKhanPTI #HappyBirthdayPMImranKhan #imrankhan”

The Pakistan Cricket Board, whose patron-in-chief is the prime minister was among the first cricketing bodies to wish him: “3807 runs and 362 wickets in Tests, 3709 runs and 182 wickets in ODIs, Third leading wicket-taker for Pakistan in Tests. A match-winning all-rounder. A @cricketworldcup winning captain. And our Prime Minister ??. Happy Birthday @ImranKhanPTI!”

The cricket council also wished, “263 international appearances. 544 wickets. 7516 runs. Led Pakistan to the title in ICC @cricketworldcup 1992. Happy birthday, Imran Khan!”

Indian sports writer Joy Bhattacharjya recalled what PM Imran’s greatest contribution to cricket was. “Imran Khan was a great cricketer & an inspirational leader. But by far his greatest contribution to the game was his crusade for neutral umpires. He made it happen in 1986, when Indian umpires Ramaswamy & Piloo Reporter stood in a Pak West Indies test in Lahore. Changed cricket!”

Pak Passion Editor Saj Sadiq described PM Imran as “the greatest ever Pakistani cricketer.” and tweeted, “#OnThisDay in 1952. The legend Imran Khan was born in Lahore. The greatest ever Pakistani cricketer, he’s been an inspiration for many. He captained Pakistan brilliantly, rounding off his career with the 1992 World Cup victory before entering politics & becoming Prime-Minister.”

Pakistani film star Shaan also greeted him, “happy birthday dear PM @ImranKhanPTI .You were born to fulfil a destiny. May the ALMIGHTY guide you , give you strength ,health , and power to overcome all enemies of Pakistan.”
