Ministry of Education and Professional Training has been closed for three days after two officers tested positive for Coronavirus.

Two officers have been tested positive of Coronavirus after which the ministry of education and professional training has closed for three days. According to the report, the ministry said that two officers of the ministry have tested positive for the virus so as a result, there is a closure of ministry on Tuesday.

The ministry issued a circular that says, “Consequently, upon the detection of corona infected cases in this ministry, it has been decided with the approval of competent authority that premises of Federal Education and Professional Training Ministry will remain unoccupied up to Jun 5, 2020, for thorough disinfection through National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).”

All officials have been informed that official affairs of ministry would be dealt through e-offices. They have been advised to be available on the telephone and attend online meetings whenever required.

In the meantime, the ministry on Tuesday requested NDMA via a letter to delegate the team to disinfect its offices and premises. Ministry remained active since 15th march under the supervision of Shafqat Mahmood the Minister for Education, under the instructions of whom all educational institutions have been abruptly closed amid COVID-19.

After that, many meetings took place at its premises to discuss several issues like preparing online classes, launching online television, or making new policies regarding exams.
