Cyclone Biperjoy Alert Prompts Postponement of Exams in Karachi

Pakistan Braces for the Impact of Very Severe Cyclonic Storm Biparjoy, Predicted to Shift Course and Impact Southeast Sindh

In the wake of a high alert issued by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) regarding Cyclone Biperjoy, the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has announced a postponement of Intermediate Examinations at Karachi’s examination centers. This information was conveyed through an official statement released by the Office of the Commissioner, Karachi Division. 

The PMD’s warning underscored the imminent dangers linked to the Cyclone Biperjoy, leading the Sindh government to initiate safeguarding measures to maintain public security. Consequently, the examinations initially slated for the 14th and 15th of June will be reorganized for later dates. 

The FBISE and the Commissioner’s Office have advised students, parents, and educational establishments to remain updated on the latest news concerning the rescheduled exam dates. They will release an official bulletin in due time, revealing the new schedule along with any further guidelines. 

Regarding Cyclone Biperjoy precautions, the Board of Higher Secondary Education has opted to postpone the distribution of question papers. The Board of Secondary Education Karachi has also rearranged papers initially set for the 14th and 15th of June. Furthermore, the University of Karachi has deferred its teaching and exams scheduled for the 14th of June.

Additionally, examinations for class XI in Hyderabad have been deferred by three days. IBA University in Karachi has put on hold the STS tests it had organized. Tests for grade one to four jobs in Karachi have also been rescheduled. The respective bodies will announce the new dates for all postponed exams and tests in the future. 

In light of the Cyclone Biperjoy warning, the government is urging all Karachi Division inhabitants to maintain vigilance and comply with directives and guidance issued by the authorities. As the public’s safety is paramount, all necessary precautions are being implemented to reduce potential hazards linked to the cyclone’s approach.
