CAA has changed COVID-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all the international and local flights functional in the country.

The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has also relaxed an important restriction for all the flights landing on Pakistani airports as the authority allows ease in social distancing mode in some cases. The new travel recommendations were issued by Civil Aviation Authority’s Air Transport Section and it will be applicable till October 31.

As per new rules for arriving flights, the air companies must follow the PCR test condition can now board commuters without any social distancing measures while seating the travelers.

However, the carriers who are not following the RT-PCR test requirement must make sure they follow the social distancing rule by leaving the middle seat empty among passengers.

In the new SOPs launched by the authorities, people who came along with the traveler to the airport will not be allowed after the departure lounge.

In addition to Covid-19 new standard operating procedures (SOPs) by CAA all the flight will be disinfected before leaving, and the crew members will be instructed to wear PPE kits throughout the flight.

PIA will appeal to European Flight Safety Agency to lift ban

Pakistan gained international coverage for weeks as the news went viral regarding dubious pilot license issuance in Pakistan. Right after the news, European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) placed a ban on the national carrier for 6 months for all European countries.

Now, after the inquiry started by the competent authority those involved in the scam are under investigation.

According to some sources, the appeal is ready and will be submitted to the Aviation Department shortly to counter check and provide suitable suggestions before submitting it to European Flight Safety Agency (EASA).
