Sindh CM to review suggestions for reopening local businesses

Syed Murad Ali Shah the Sindh Chief Minister has called a meeting to reopen local industries, restaurants and, businesses by reviewing the trade bodies’ suggestions.

The Chief Minister called a meeting on Thursday in order to review the reopening of businesses. In a meeting, CM met Siraj Kassam Teli the businessmen group chairman. They met with a business delegation. There were also some of the representatives from the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, All Restaurants Association, and Pakistan Chambers of Commerce, etc. These trader delegations insisted Chief Minister to demolish the lockdown immediately and resume all businesses and industries.

These trader delegations notified CM that if the lockdown is not suspended now, then all businesses will remain closed forever which would lead to poverty and unemployment if the operation is delayed for more 2-4 months. Now is the need to suspend lockdown immediately.

Further, representatives said, “Excluding export-oriented industries and industries engaged in the production of essential food items, other local industries, and restaurants in which hundreds and thousands of workers are employed, remain closed and the relevant businessmen are finding it impossible to sustain all these employees and are looking forward to closing down their businesses forever.”

In the end, they said to strict the adherence of SOPs.
