Samsung Galaxy F23 5G launched with 120Hz screen and SD750G for $210

Galaxy F23 5G

The Samsung Galaxy F23 5G is the direct successor to the F22 5G from last year. The key improvements include a better display and a quicker chipset, however there will be no charging brick included in the box.

Design and Display

The display has a greater refresh rate and resolution, resulting in a far more enjoyable cinematic experience. It’s now a 6.6-inch LCD with 1080p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, up from 720p and 90Hz. The fingerprint sensor is on the right side, and the selfie camera is in the waterdrop notch.

Internals and Storage

The Helio G80 SoC has been replaced with the Snapdragon 750G, which is substantially quicker at 8nm. Samsung’s hugely successful Galaxy A52 5G is powered by the same mid-range processor. This comes with 4 to 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a microSD card slot.

Samsung Galaxy F23 5G will start up with the latest software, Android 12 with One UI 4.1 on top.

Galaxy F23 Camera

On the backside, there are three cameras: a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor for close-up shots. This camera can record 1080p and 4K video at 30 frames per second.

The 8MP selfie camera with the waterdrop notch has an f/2.2 aperture.

Battery and Pricing

The previous year’s 6,000 mAh battery has been reduced to 5,000 mAh, although it now supports 25W rapid charging, up from 15W. This is the first non-flagship Samsung phone that does not have a charger.

The Samsung Galaxy F23 5G is available for only $210 in Aqua Blue and Forest Green colours.
