business friendly environment

Guaranteeing a business-friendly environment is the topmost priority of the Punjab government and the business community will not experience any problem in obtaining any institution of the provincial administration, proclaimed Punjab Chief Secretary Kamran Ali Afzal.

While communicating at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Chief Secretary said that the government was not giving importance to one area over another and all sections of the economy were equally vital.

“The vision of the current leadership is to create facilities for the business community,” he said. “The government welcomes all businessmen who invest in Pakistan, create jobs, and contribute to the betterment of the economy.”

Emphasizing that agents played a vigorous character in the growth of any country, Afzal indicated that it was the responsibility of the government to deliver a business-friendly environment to increase the economy in a bid to speed up growth, lift industrialization and create employment opportunities.

“Due to Covid-19, Pakistan faced many difficulties in the last two years,” he pointed out. “The laws, which the business community considers a burden, are for its own betterment as well as for boosting the economy.”

Meanwhile, LCCI President Mian Nauman Kabir said that the chamber wished to start a joint high-powered committee for the progress of Lahore, encompassing four representatives of the private sector and officials of the health, home, environment, finance, excise, and taxation departments.

Moreover, he said that the Model Bazaar project, being established with the help of the Lahore commissioner, was moving ahead at a modest pace.

He also emphasized the vital necessity for establishing new parking plazas in Lahore. “In this regard, we are ready to work with the government of Punjab under the public-private partnership mode.”

Additionally, LCCI Senior Vice President Mian Rehman Aziz Chan and Vice President Haris Ateeq necessitated the establishment of help desks of waste management and environment departments at the Lahore Chamber.
