Pakistan has offered Covid-19 support to India as a gesture of solidarity on Saturday as the condition is worst over there due to coronavirus in the country at present.

Last day, there were more than 3 lac 50 thousand corona-positive cases in the country. There seems an acute shortage of oxygen in India and the government is trying hard to make the same available to the affected patients. The Indian government had deployed military planes and trains to get oxygen from the far-flung areas to Delhi. The Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal requested to provide oxygen urgently otherwise there would be a tragedy.

A statement, issued by the Foreign Office of Pakistan says, “As a gesture of solidarity with the people of India in the wake of the current wave of Covid-19, Pakistan has offered to provide relief support to India including ventilators, Bi-PAP, digital X-ray machines, PPEs(Personal protective equipment) and related items.”

The statement says that the concerned authorities of Pakistan and India can work out modalities for quick delivery of the relief items. They can also explore possible ways of further cooperation to mitigate the challenges posed by the pandemic.

Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan has said that country’s prayers are with all those suffering from the deadly virus for their early recovery in our neighborhood and the world.

Fawad Chaudhry, the federal information Minister has also shown concern over the aggravating condition of Covid-19 in India. He said that in these difficult times our prayers are with the people of India may God be kind and may these difficult times get over soon.

Pakistani citizens also rallied for their neighbors and called on Prime Minister, Imran Khan to alleviate the situation in India. Faisal Edhi has also offered to help the Indian Prime Minister.

World Health Organization’s emergency Director Mike Ryan said that reducing the transmission in India would be a very difficult task but the government was working on limiting mixing between people.
