Smartbenefits launches affordable employee health insurance for SMEs

Smartbenefits

The first-ever Pakistan-based health insurance startup ‘Smartbenefits’ is facilitating employers by making healthcare benefits accessible and affordable for them. According to the changing user demands, Smartbenefits from its platform offers employers and employees more transparent pricing, flexibility, and a high-quality healthcare experience.

The framework realizes the requirements of businesses and benefits in setting up group health insurance for as few as 5 staff members.

Earlier, it began from a small part of smartchoice.pk, one of the country’s foremost insurance marketplace for the people, has now launched a committed platform Smartbenefits.

The platform is dedicated completely to employee health and life insurance policies starting from as low as Rs.4, 000 per employee per year. The framework also allows ease of experience for employees with directed claims support.

Moreover, the health concern is mostly neglected by the majority of the people until the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic due to which many Pakistani employers and employees got to know the importance of healthcare.

As large organizations deliver health insurance as part of their employment package, giving health insurance to employees was not so common amongst SMEs in Pakistan. However, this has entirely changed in the post-COVID world, where retaining talent has become more problematic as people find better work opportunities.

Meanwhile, CEO and Founder of Smartbenefits, Sibtain Jiwani, said: “In the majority of the countries like the US, most of the population is covered under employer-sponsored health insurance. We believe Pakistan is set to move in this direction, especially in the post-Covid world and rising quality health care costs. At Smartbenefits we are imagining group health insurance from ground-up, building technology that simplifies pricing, customer onboarding, claims, and compliance in partnership with insurance providers.”

Besides, the insurtech startup has numerous exciting features and partnerships on the way that it plans to disclose over the next few months and intends to transform the traditional employee healthcare welfares completely.
