Post-rain situation in Balochistan

Balochistan’s Home Minister, Mir Ziaullah Langu, conducted a visit to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) headquarters to evaluate the aftermath of heavy rains across the province. During the visit, he was briefed on the recent heavy downpours and the damage sustained in Zhob, Gwadar, and Hub. 

Naseer Ahmed Nasir, the Director-General of PDMA, provided a comprehensive briefing on the current and anticipated situation of all districts due to the changing weather patterns. The Home Minister commended the PDMA’s timely updates and rescue services and emphasized the need to be proactive in disaster management. 

In response to the flood victims and deserving individuals, Langu announced the distribution of Ramazan ration as instructed by the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo. He instructed the DG PDMA to dispatch the ration supplies to the respective districts as soon as possible.

Langu acknowledged the increased workload and responsibilities of PDMA resulting from climate change, but expressed confidence in the staff’s capacity to manage any emergency effectively.
