Unfortunately, the Covid-19 epidemic has critically affected the tourism sector in Pakistan and the rest of the world, according to China Economic Net (CEN).

Emphasizing on the importance of the revival of the tourism sector, Ambassador Haque pointed out that the tourism sector should deliver benign, liable, and attractive tourism by reconsidering tourism products and facilities as new tourism patterns occur.

He further encouraged that with the advancement of new technologies countries should also seek to develop smart tourism and struggle hard to develop virtual or digital tourism resources.

Furthermore, it is taken into consideration that Ambassador Haque has designed a task force in the Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing to revolutionize Pakistan’s tourism sector

“I want to emphasize that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has established a close partnership with WTCF and UNWTO.

I propose the possibility of preparing a programme of trilateral cooperation between our organizations for the development of tourism in the context of the pandemic” noted Vladimir Norov, Secretary-General of SCO.
