Pakistan Railways To Run Special Trains For Eid-ul-Fitr Travel Needs

In anticipation of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr festival, Pakistan Railways (PR) has announced its plan to operate five special trains to meet the travel needs of the public. The special trains will operate between Karachi and Lahore, as well as Karachi and Peshawar, in addition to other destinations throughout Pakistan. 

The first Eid-ul-Fitr special train will depart from Karachi for Peshawar Cantt on April 18th, followed by a second train from Quetta to Rawalpindi on the same day. The third special train is scheduled to run from Karachi to Lahore on April 19th. 

On April 26th, the fourth train will depart from Rawalpindi for Quetta, while the fifth and final special train will travel from Lahore to Karachi on April 27th. The train schedule for each of these routes has been announced by PR. 

In addition to these special Eid-ul-Fitr trains, PR has also released a new train schedule for the summer season that takes effect from April 15th. This revised timetable includes changes to the arrival and departure times of thirteen trains at various railway stations, while three trains have been temporarily suspended.

Furthermore, the department has resumed the Shalimar Express train route between Lahore and Karachi to facilitate the majority of travelers during the summer season. 

With these initiatives, Pakistan Railways are taking steps to ensure that the public can travel safely and comfortably during the festive season while adhering to COVID-19 safety guidelines.
