Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari unveiled the ‘Share Pakistan Portal,’ an innovative digital repository aimed at fostering targeted communication between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its extensive network of over 100 diplomatic missions worldwide. In collaboration with the National Information Technology Board (NITB), this online platform will serve as a standardized information system, enabling efficient data collection and communication to effectively support Pakistani foreign policy objectives. 

During the launch event, Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardaril highlighted his commitment to enhancing the ministry’s ability to deliver on its mandates through the ‘Foreign Minister’s Change Management Initiative.’ This initiative aims to implement management reforms within the ministry, focusing on various areas such as human resources, finance, logistics, communication, counseling, protocol, and community services. By digitizing and simplifying rules, policies, and procedures, the initiative seeks to foster a culture of result-oriented work, productivity, value innovation, and decentralized decision-making. 

The comprehensive report on the ‘Change Management Initiative’ will play a vital role in transforming the diplomatic service, equipping it to effectively respond to the evolving realities and challenges of the modern world. Minister Bilawal emphasized that this initiative would ensure seamless communication between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the country’s diplomatic missions abroad. 

The newly launched ‘Share Pakistan Portal’ has been designed to streamline communication and information sharing horizontally and vertically within the realm of public diplomacy between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its diplomatic posts overseas. It will enhance efficiency and transparency in various public diplomacy initiatives, contributing to the overall effectiveness of Pakistan’s foreign policy.

This paperless digital tool represents a significant milestone as it integrates digital technologies into both public diplomacy strategic outreach efforts and institutions. Its usage will extend to diplomatic outreach decision support, strategic communication drafting, foreign policy translation, and analysis of the latest trends. Minister Bilawal expressed confidence that the portal would serve as a model for future projects, facilitating useful and effective communication between the ministry and its missions. 

Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also emphasized the potential of the portal to simplify communication systems and promote IT-based solutions for enhanced coordination between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other government departments. He expressed his gratitude to the NITB and the Ministry of Information Technology for their collaboration in developing the portal, which will increase the visibility of public diplomacy activities and help achieve Pakistan’s foreign policy goals. 

During the launch event, high commissioners and ambassadors representing Pakistan’s diplomatic missions participated via video-link, underscoring the significance and wide-ranging impact of this digital initiative.
