Controversial Audio Emerges Allegedly Involving Judge's Wife in Imran Khan's Toshakhana Case

In a recent development, an audio recording purportedly featuring the wife of Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal has surfaced. The judge was presiding over the Toshakhana case reference against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan. The audio, which has caused a stir, allegedly captures a conversation between Nadia Zafar Shaheen, the judge’s wife, and another woman named Shaheen Parveen.

According to the audio, Nadia Zafar Shaheen can be heard mentioning that the Toshakhana case is with her husband, Judge Zafar. She also suggests that due to this reason, they have limited their movement. Additionally, she indicates that they have a plan and once Imran Khan is acquitted, they will visit Shaheen Parveen to spend some quality time together.

The audio further suggests that Imran Khan is currently under mental stress, as mentioned by Parveen. Nadia allegedly responds by saying that her husband, Judge Zafar, holds discussions with someone referred to as “Kashif bhai.”

It is worth noting that last month, Judge Iqbal was transferred from the session east to the session west. The Election Commission of Pakistan had previously forwarded the Toshakhana reference to the trial court on November 22, 2022, to initiate criminal proceedings against Imran Khan under sections 137, 170, and 167 of the Election Act, 2017.

The emergence of this audio recording has raised concerns and cast doubts on the impartiality and integrity of the judicial process. It has sparked discussions and speculation regarding the potential influence on the Toshakhana case. However, it is important to conduct a thorough investigation to authenticate the audio and determine its relevance to the ongoing legal proceedings.
