COAS Munir witnesses field fire, battle drills near Jhelum

General Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), visited the Tilla Field Firing Ranges near Jhelum and saw field fire and battle drills, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to the military’s media wing, the army chief received a briefing on the exercise’s training goals in order to assess the formation’s operational preparedness in a demanding setting.
The army commander was impressed by the coordination between the Air Force, Army Aviation, and ground forces during his visit as they carried out various operational drills.
In addition, Gen. Munir lauded the soldiers’ combat prowess and offensive zeal, praising their excellent morale and battle-worthiness.

Last week, COAS Munir declared that terrorists, their allies, and facilitators who are seeking to destabilize Pakistan at the behest of an enemy goal will be pursued until they turn themselves in to the state.
The military’s media wing added that the army chief made these remarks while speaking with officers and soldiers stationed in the South Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) near Asman Manza, where six brave soldiers embraced martyrdom the day before while valiantly battling terrorists.

The COAS praised the troops’ unwavering resilience in battling the terrorism threat. Shuhada are our pride, and their sacrifices won’t be in vain until full peace and stability have returned to Pakistan.

Gen. Munir received a thorough briefing on the current security situation, including current counterterrorism and intelligence activities, during the visit.
