28 Pakistani companies win GDIB awards for best practices in industries

Good news for Pakistan, 28 business houses have won Global Diversity and Inclusion Benchmarks (GDIB) Awards 2021 in different categories.

Zahid Mubarik, the Chief Executive Officer HR Metrics and Board Director of USA Centre for Global Inclusion said in a statement, “Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Benchmark are the standards for organization around the world. The GDEIB helps the organization determine strategy and measures progress in managing diversity and fostering inclusion. GDEIB has 15 categories, 28 dimensions, and 275 benchmarks.”

He added that HR Metrics conducts annual GDIB awards in which organizations are given the opportunity to disclose their diversity, equity, and inclusion accomplishments with a focus on the social and economic impact on all stakeholders. The awards were assessed on the merit-based score on a scale of 1-5 including practice, progress, proactive, reactive, and inactive.

Diversity Hub Pakistan made a Jury for this award consisting of world DEI experts including Lynda White, President Mcleod White, Montreal Canada, Nadia Younes, Global Head Employment Experience, Diversity, and Well-Being Zurich Insurance Company, Switzerland, Karen Francis Ph.D., Vice President, and Chief Diversity, Equity Inclusion Officer, American Institutes for Research, USA, Moneeza Usman Butt, Partner KPMG Taseer Hadi and Co., Pakistan, Saad Amanullah Khan, Chairman Pakistan Innovation Fund and Ambreen Waheed, Founder Responsible Behavior Institute, Pakistan.

The award-taking Pakistani Organizations include Engro Fertilizers Limited which won the highest scores, then Engro Energy Limited, Engro Corporation Limited, Nestle Pakistan, and Habib Bank Limited. 

Overall award-winning organizations are First Micro Finance Bank Limited, Standard Chartered Pakistan, AGP Limited, Bank Alflah Limited, Faysal Bank Limited, Engro Polymer and Chemicals Limited, Pepsi Cola International, PTCL, Allied Bank Limited, Philip Morris Pakistan Limited, HRSG, The Millennium Education, JS Bank Limited, U Microfinance Bank Limited, TPL Corporation, National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited, The Millennium Universal College, British Council Pakistan, Jazz, Novo Nordisk Pvt. Limited, Feroze 1888 Mills Limited, FINCA Microfinance Bank Limited, and Telenor Pakistan. The GDIB awards to the winning companies will be presented in March 2022.
