Trees are the ornaments of the earth. These amazing creatures of God are not only necessary for human beings rather they play a vital role in the environmental development of a region and a country. There are a lot of industries that are based on wood in Pakistan like the construction sector, match industry, paper industry, etc. Besides these tangible benefits of wood, there are many other benefits of plants.

People living in an area without or lesser quantity of the vegetation will have a rather rude and unhappy attitude and the sentiment to enjoy their life will be minimum there. On the other side, people who are living at the place with an abundance of trees, pleasant effects on the minds of the population will be apparent. A person the moment he enters a tree-filled grassy area will suddenly feel a positive change in his mind.

The atmosphere has a big quantity of Carbon Dioxide which is hazardous to human health. Plants absorb this gas. Studies show that in one year, an acre of trees absorbs the same amounts of carbon dioxide which is produced when a car covers around 32000 kilometers. Other than carbon dioxide, plants also absorb gasses like nitrogen oxide, ammonia, sulfur dioxide, etc. which are harmful to human health.

Among the great benefits of plants is the conservation of energy. When we plant the trees in the surroundings of our homes, the effects of heats are minimum and as such, we need a lesser amount of artificial coolness through fans or air conditioners, etc.

Trees are the reason for pleasant climate conditions and an abundance of rainfall. We can see desert terrains of the middle east where the amount of rainfall is increased drastically due to big plantation there.

A very important factor which is hidden to many is the blessings of trees when they save the common people generally and children specifically from skin cancer. Skin cancer is caused by the direct effects of the sun rays. Trees save a human being from these rays.

There are millions of people around the world whose bread and butter are directly attached to the plants in the form of fruits and vegetables. The economy of millions of people who are directly or indirectly attached to the trading of fruits and vegetables. The benefits of them are uncountable. There is no second opinion that fruits and vegetables are beneficial to human health.

Animals, domesticated and even non-domesticated, are also totally dependent on the trees. They eat the leaves and sit under the trees. The lives of the animal are almost impossible without the trees.

History shows us that trees are the creative and spiritual inspiration for adults and trees have provided the space for human retreat throughout history. Buddha, when he gave up living with the people, deserted into the jungle and lived in the trees.

In Pakistan, there are many areas where natural gas has not been provided. Trees provide fuel to the residents of those far-flung areas.

Regions like Switzerland, Malaysia, and even Pakistani Northern Areas depict the real benefits of plants and tells us how the beauty of a landscape is enhanced due to plants. Millions of tourists visit these regions to watch the awe-inspiring natural beauty. The government of Pakistan can earn a huge amount of reserves from foreign and local tourists if the enabling environment is provided in the country’s northern areas like Gilgit Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
