There is no medical procedure that is without risk. People who think the hair transplantation as an easy and smooth process, are all in doom because it takes too much risk. It is a surgical procedure that removes hair follicles from a donor site. The balding area of the scalp is implanted in them, which is usually known as the recipient site. The numb area is anesthetic before the procedure is started.
After the whole procedure is carried out, the patient is recommended to take extra care through medication and to follow precautions for the development of some infection. Hair grows easily within 6-9 months of 60 percent of people, but there are possible side effects that can happen after the whole procedure.
Infection:
Infection is the possibility after the whole procedure of hair transplant if proper care is not given via medication or specialist’s recommendation. Inflammation of the hair follicles is called folliculitis that occurs if some complication occurs in hair transplantation. Antibiotics are the best way to cure the infection. Lotions and gels are the other ways. But still, the inflammation goes on and the case becomes more complicated than take the suggestions from doctors and for the additional medical help.
Scarring:
Scarring is something you should be worried about. It occurs in patients predisposed to the problem and it is more likely to occur in an individual who goes for strip plantation. Some people develop a genetic inclination towards extreme scarring.
Pain:
Pain is nothing a deal rather it is a common side effect after hair transplantation procedure. That is why the patient endures the pain in most of the cases without special medication or lotions etc. and those whose pain does not cure, use pain killers. This is a normal side effect because pain is always temporary that dies down once the scup starts to heal. It does not require being highly conscious, but one must endure the pain after the whole process.
Itching:
It is also a common side effect that occurs after the procedure of hair transplantation. But sometimes it may get severe when not addressed properly. Regular shampooing and taking care due to the formation of scabs is a necessary part. If itching gets abnormally out of control beyond tolerance, then immediately consult some cosmetic specialist or dermatologist. They would recommend special moisturizers to treat the problem.
Bleeding:
Bleeding is a common part of hair transplantation, but if it does not stop and consistently goes on then the number of stitches is increased or can be stopped with simple pressure.
Shock loss:
It occurs when newly transplanted hair falls out post-procedure. It is a shocking scenario and a common complication. Such cases experienced by patients get worried, but as time passes, their newly transplanted hair re-grow within a few months.
