In October 2002, the Foundation University Islamabad (FUI), a Fauji Foundation enterprise, was formed under a Federal Charter. The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan has classified the university as category ‘W4’ (the highest rating level). FUI’s academic programmes are accredited by the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC), the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), the National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC), the National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC), the National Technology Council (NTC), and the Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC).

As a higher education institute (HEI), FUI prioritises establishing connections with other HEIs at the national and international levels, as well as the local community and corporate sector, particularly the Fauji Foundation companies. FUI has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with a number of local and international organisations, including universities and public and private businesses. We are dedicated to meeting these objectives on a regular basis in order to foster a vibrant knowledge economy that benefits students, faculty, and alumni.

The FUI is dedicated to ensuring that all people have equal access to holistic education in a variety of fields in order to generate a valuable human resource for national and international societies.

LIBRARAY:-

Foundation University, Islamabad, features a large and well-stocked library with a diverse collection of high-quality books, British references, journals, Articals, research, papers, theses, project reports, CDs and DVDs, ebooks, and the HEC digital library.

The Public Services Unit, led by the Deputy Librarian, is responsible for providing proactive reference services through the ‘Research Support Desk’ and ‘Information Desk.
Borrowing privileges, rules, and policies control how libraries provide borrowing services to registered members (faculty, students, and staff). Both campuses have circulation desks where library materials can be borrowed and returned. Audio/Videos, text books, journals, reference books, and CDs/DVDs that are on reserve cannot be issued. It’s important to keep in mind that any library literature you borrow is subject to recall.
A maximum of three times can a member’s Library contents be renewed or reissued. Reserve materials, on the other hand, can be restocked.

ADMISSIONS:-

Admission to any of FUI’s programmes is contingent on meeting the requirements for Undergraduate, Master’s, MS/MPhil, and Ph.D. programmes. Samples of entry tests can be seen on the FUI website.
