PSL 2021 Schedule

Six teams will participate in thirty-four challenging matches over the next month to be announced PSL 2021 champions. So far, four teams have been declared champions. Islamabad won twice in the PSL, in 2016 and 2018, and Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators, and Karachi Kings managed to clinch only once.The announcement of the Pakistan Super League schedule, as always, officially kicks off the countdown to the season, and this time around, the PSL  schedule officially kicks off PSL 2021. On February 20, 2021, at National Stadium Karachi, defending champions Karachi Kings will face former PSL champions Quetta Gladiators in the first match of PSL 6. The tournament final will be held at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on March 22, 2021.

Important Fixtures to Remember

Aside from the finale and play-offs, the match between Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars is the one that has fans hooked to their television screens. Fans of both these teams, as well as cricket fans all over the world, will be marking down the dates of the two matches between Pakistan’s two largest cities as the PSL schedule is published.

The first group stage match between Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars will take place on Sunday, February 28 at 7 p.m. at National Stadium Karachi. The rematch will take place at 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 14 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

The play-offs and the final are two crucial fixtures to keep an eye on in the PSL schedule.

The top two teams from each division will participate in a night match on Thursday, March 18th. The first elimination round, between the third and fourth teams, will take place the next day.

On Saturday, March 20th, Eliminator 2 will take place, pitting the winner of Eliminator 1 against the loser of the qualifier. The tournament final will take place on Monday, March 22. According to the PSL schedule, the play-offs and final will be held at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Venues and Timings

Due to the Covid-19 situation in the country, PCB agreed to hold the entire competition at just two locations. Matches were conducted in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan during the previous season. The tournament will take place only in Karachi and Lahore this time.

The first phase of the Pakistan Super League, which will consist of 20 matches, will be held at National Stadium Karachi, according to the Pakistan Super League schedule. The second phase of the tournament, which includes the play-offs and the final, will be held at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, with a total of 14 matches.

Day games will begin at 2:00 p.m., while night matches will begin at 7:00 p.m. On Fridays, all day and night matches will be played an hour later, at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m., respectively.
