The much-awaited ICC World Test Championship will be played in England later this year, and after New Zealand managed to seal their berth for the summit clash due to the postponement of the South Africa and Australia Test series, the race to the inaugural ICC World Test Championship is heating up between India, England and Australia.

India’s Qualification Scenario for ICC World Test Championship

India need to beat England 2-0, 2-1, 3-0, 3-1, or 4-0 in the ongoing series for India to qualify.

England’s Qualification Scenario for ICC World Test Championship

In the ongoing series, England need to beat India 3-0, 3-1 or 4-0 to make it through.

Australia’s Qualification Scenario for ICC World Test Championship

Australia, who wanted to make it up to the Border-Gavaskar trophy, would have to rely on the India-England series results.

One of the three scenarios must be played out for Australia to qualify: India beat England 1-0, England beat India 1-0, 2-0, or 2-1, or India and England draw either 0-0, 1-1, or 2-2 in the ongoing series.
