The SECP official will record his final statement before the magistrate under Section 164 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).

It was expected that Sajid Gondal was kidnapped for the past 5 days and many rumors had been revolving but his statement that he was in the northern areas went completely opposite to the expectations. Civil society and his family highly protested against the incident and highlighted it.

On Tuesday night, it was reported that he was released near Rawat, a suburb of the federal capital, after which he contacted his family members through a phone call, telling them that he was well and would join them soon.

Moreover, his wife told reporters that her husband was going to Sargodha and she talked him on phone but was switched off again. Then he thanked PM for taking immediate notice as Islamabad High Court and media took this matter seriously.

Later, it was revealed that he was at the residence of his brother where SP Farooq Amjad, police officials, and teams visited to make sure if he is safe.

Sajid’s parents, his wife, and children as well as some other family members protested outside Prime Minister’s Office to press for his early recovery after he went missing on Thursday night and his car found outside the NARC office in Chak Shahzad, Islamabad.
